Ahead of the launch of Reliance Jio's next generation 4G services, Vodafone India is focussed on boosting its data services in Gujarat, where its is the no.1 telecom services provider with over 6.5 million data customers in the circle.
The telecom operator is taking its 3G services to 790 new locations in Gujarat. Vodafone has been making significant investments on ramping up its network in the state and will now drive penetration through a mobile internet experience bus. At present, Vodafone has 13,350 2G and 3G sites in Gujarat, connecting 95% percent of the state’s population.
To support this thrust on 3G, Vodafone is also rolling out the Vodafone Mobile Internet Bus equipped with a live mobile data experience zone that will tour across all the towns and villages in Gujarat which are being brought under the 3G umbrella.
Vodafone Mobile Internet Bus is a part of Vodafone’s larger strategy to drive adoption and usage of mobile data in tier two and beyond locations, connecting with locals educating them on the life enhancing benefits of mobile phones beyond basic calling services.
Vodafone will demonstrate how with a 3G phone and access to the Vodafone 3G network, they can make video calls, watch live TV, access high speed internet, download large email attachments faster and download music tracks, as well as the usual voice call and messaging services.Vodafone Mobile Internet Bus was flagged off last week from North Gujarat and will cover the entire rural geography of the state and will be a continuous initiative to connect with our customers.
