Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation has awarded a Dh260 million (Rs 260 crore) contract to Tata Group company Voltas for the construction of a cooling plant at the Dubai International Financial Centre. |
Under the contract, Voltas will complete civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing works in addition to the construction of the 66,000 refrigeration tonne (RT) district cooling plant. The project is expected to be completed in 15 months. |

The deal was signed by Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation CEO Ahmad Bin Shafar and Voltas regional director and deputy COO Shaukat Ali Mir. UAE-based Emirates Central Cooling Systems is the largest district cooling service provider. |
