V S T Tillers Tractors Ltd is eying a 15-20 per cent market share in the power tiller market in West Bengal in the next 18 months. The company, which has a manufacturing unit in Bangalore, has tied up with Thai engine manufacturers Kubota, to launch VSR Shakti Power Tiller in India. VST produces about 18,000 power tillers and 5,000 tractors every year from the unit.
The company expects to grow its turnover to Rs 275 crore by the end the fiscal from its current level of Rs 250 crore.
"We have a market share of more than 50 per cent in most of the states. We expect to grow at 25-30 per cent next year. In West Bengal, we will gain at least 15-20 per cent of the market within a span of 18 months., " said V V Pravindra, deputy managing director, VST Tillers, at a press conference in Kolkata.
