VST Industries Q2 net profit rises 18%
Income from operations up 5% to Rs 415 cr for the quarter under review
BS Reporter Hyderabad Hyderabad-based VST Industries Limited, the maker of cigarette brands such as Charms and Charminar, witnessed a 17.57 per cent increase in its net profit to Rs 32.45 crore for the second quarter ended September 2013, as against Rs 27.6 crore during the same period a year ago.
Income from operations stood at Rs 414.92 crore for the quarter under review, as compared with Rs 396.55 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, a growth of 4.63 per cent.
Its scrip ended the trade at Rs 1,494.05 on the BSE on Friday, down 2.35 per cent, over the previous close of Rs 1,530 per share.
