Welspun India, a home textiles firm and a part of Welspun group, has acquired 76% stake in Portuguese bath rug firm, Sorema-Tapates e Cortinas de Banho at an enterprise value of Rs 60 crore.It is Welspun's second overseas acquisition in less than a year's time in the towel business. In July last year, the company had acquired 85% stake in UK-based towel brand Christy.The company's share prices today closed at Rs 99.05, down 2.12% on the BSE.
