Welspun Stahl net dips 35%

Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren reported 35 per cent dip in net profit at Rs 8 crore for the third quarter ended December 2005, as compared with Rs 12.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Net sales was up 63 per cent at Rs 455 crore from Rs 279 crore over the last corresponding period. The company's total income increased 60 per cent to Rs 454 crore from Rs 283 crore in Q3 FY05. Gross profit was down 1.8 per cent at Rs 21.5 crore from Rs 21.9 crore.
