Whirlpool of India Q2 net down 7% to Rs 37.60 cr

Company's total income from operation also declined 4.16%

Consumer durables firm Whirlpool of India today reported a decline of 7.66% in its standalone net profit at Rs 37.60 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015.

The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 40.72 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal.

Company's total income from operation also declined 4.16% to Rs 713.55 crore during the July-September quarter as against Rs 744.57 crore in the same period last fiscal, Whirlpool said in a BSE filing.

Whirlpool of India posted an increase of 9.68% in its standalone net profit for the six months ended September 30 at Rs 135.70 crore as compared to Rs 123.72 crore for the same period last fiscal.

Its total income from operation during the first half of the current fiscal was up marginally 0.94% to Rs 1,813.82 crore as against Rs 1,796.81 crore in the same period a year ago.

Shares of Whirlpool of India closed at Rs 646.95 per scrip, down 0.64% from previous close on the BSE.
