Home appliances firm Whirlpool today posted a 38.8 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 64.20 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010, over the same period last fiscal.
The company had a net profit in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal, Whirlpool of India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
During the period, the company's total income increased by 40.8 per cent to Rs 879.48 crore from Rs 624.28 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter last financial year.
Whirlpool of India is a subsidiary of Whirlpool Corporation, which has an annual sales of over $19 billion with more than 60 manufacturing and technology research centers around the world.
