The Technopark-based Wins Infotek, a leading provider of control system and process automation software products to the semiconductor industry in India, has firmed up plans to expand its facility as part of its growth initiatives. |

According to T K Velayudham, chief executive officer, Wins Infotek, the company would invest up to Rs 5 crore in 10,000 square feet space at Tejaswini, the upcoming block on the Technopark campus. This apart, the company is also looking at acquiring two acres of land close to Technopark to set up its own campus. |

"We are looking at having our own campus on 40,000 sqft of built-up space. Construction will begin by January next and, hopefully, by January 2008, our own campus will be ready for operations," Velayudham told Business Standard. The company will entirely shift to its new campus by January 2008. |

Elaborating on its investment plans, he said Wins Infotek would set aside Rs 10 crore for the campus, a major chunk of which would be pumped in by the parent company. Before moving to its own campus, the company also plans to spend at least Rs 5 crore for the space at Tejaswini. The Tejaswini facility would be set up to accommodate 200 professional. |

With the expansion set to be kick-started, Wins is also planning to go in for more recruitment. |

Naushad A, manager (business development), said, "We have set a target of doubling our manpower in the coming months. We will go in for recruiting of more professionals at our facility here. Now, we have 50-plus professionals working with us. We will recruit 50 more and the hiring will continue". |

The company which has become ISO 9001:2000 certified, has rolled out its patented Atmospheric Plasma Machine for the semiconductor manufacturers. |

Built on a research and development investment of US$ 2.5 million, the company has also found its launch customer, the name of which Wins Infotek officials preferred to keep under wraps citing company policy, as soon as the machine was patented, Naushad said. |

Adding that the company is looking at CMMI certification, Velayudham said that the CMMI Level 3 certification was expected soon. |

Wins Infotek, which currently operates out of the Gayatri block at Technopark, has as its key focus areas process control and robotics applications for semiconductor manufacturers, and digital consumer and media solutions. |
