Wipro to get woman director before next AGM

Wipro Chairman Azim Premji on Thursday said he was working towards bringing a woman as director on the company's board before the next annual general meeting. Premji is among several Indian leaders who have said there is a need for greater participation by women at the board level.

Infosys Executive Chairman N R Narayana Murthy has also stressed this aspect. According to a news report, before Murthy had earlier retired from Infosys, he, and the company's nominations committee had scouted for a female candidate on the board.
