WPP design arm Fitch to enter India

After acquiring design house Ray + Keshavan, WPP is further enhancing its design presence in India. The company is planning to launch Fitch "� its globally renowned design agency arm "� in India.
 
Sources told Business Standard that Rodney Fitch, the founder of the company, is slated to visit India in the third week of November.
 
According to industry executives, the arm will be working with Reliance Retail, the latest venture by Reliance Industries. However, Reliance executives could not be reached for comment.
 
Fitch focuses on four core disciplines - environments, brand communication, insights and strategy and product development.
 
The company has been traditionally associated with the retail sector, working for global brands such as beauty chain, The Body Shop, furniture chain, Ikea, Toys R Us and so on.
 
Over the years, Fitch has expanded the framework and also creates designs, environments, packaging, digital media, brand identities.
 
Fitch has offices in New York, Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Doha, Paris among other cities. Some of their recent clients include, Asian Games 2006, DHL, Hewlett Packard, Lego, Levi's, Starbucks, Unilever and Wal-Mart.
 
Founded in 1972, Fitch became the first design company in the world to obtain a full stock exchange listing in 1982. In 2001, Fitch was acquired by the global advertising and communications network, WPP.
