With an aim to strengthen its presence in the commuter segment, Japanese two-wheeler major Yamaha today launched its latest model YBR 110 into the Indian market. The bike is priced at Rs 41,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Yukimine Tsuji, CEO and Managing Director, India Yamaha Motor, said, “After successfully launching our bikes in the 150 cc segment, we have now launched a commuter motorcycle YBR 110. We have been studying the entry-level market and wanted to launch a new bike at an affordable price, that would give satisfactory mileage."
The YBR 110 has electric start and an air cooled 4-stroke SOHC engine. The bike has 4 speed gearbox with properly spaced gear ratios. The bike will be available in three colours - black, red and black and red combination.
This would be the 12th product from the company which also includes two fully imported models. The company will be launching its automatic scooter range perhaps by the end of this year.
