Yellow Chilli plans foray into western India

Speaking to Business Standard before the launch of the restaurant, Kapoor said, "Despite of penetration by various global food chains in India, people still prefer Indian food. The Indian cuisine can not be replaced or challenged by any other cuisine here. Through Yellow Chilli, we will continue to deliver high quality Indian preparations across the country." The restaurant is already present in more than 10 cities like Noida, New Delhi, Jaipur, Chandigarh and others. The hotel chain has also entered food counter business with Yellow Chilli Express brand present in cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.

Kapoor added, he has plans to explore few more cities in western India to start the restaurant. The restaurant will deliver localised food along with its standard preparations. Explaining its interest in food chain and hospitality business, Citymax Hotels Managing Director Ravi Saxena said, "Apart from food and hospitality business, global players are performing very well. But Indian are not ready to accept global hotel chains and cuisine as part of their lifestyle. Hence, we have decided to work with Yellow Chilli in this sector."
