Young managers need to focus on leadership and not be guided by people's perceptions to compete in a world of uncertain economy and say ahead of others, Adi Godrej, chairman of the Godrej Group said at the convocation ceremony ofXavier Institute of Management-Bhubaneswar (XIMB).

A total of 270 students graduated in business management, rural management and part-time MBA programme in the current academic session.

For the PGDM Class of 2011, the CM Kandoi Gold Medals which have been instituted by Aditya Steel Industries, were awarded to Tuktuk Bansal for securing first rank and Mukul Sachdeva for securing second rank in order of merit.

The Faculty Council Gold Medals were awarded to the next eight rank holders. The Orissa Jesuit Society Medal for Social & Ethical Perspective in Management was bagged by Gurbani Kaur Sohi while the Leeta Misra-Ankalkoti Gold Medal as well as NTPC Gold Medal was won by Tuktuk Bansal.
