Mumbai-based wine maker Vallee de Vin is exploring possibilities to launch its premium segment wine Zampa in Dubai and United Kingdom over next six months. The wine maker, which has set sales target of 1,25,000 litres for first 12 months of the launch, wants to attract Indian population in UK and Dubai towards Zampa.
"Though India is a growing market for wines, UK is an established location to promote Indian wines. There is a huge Indian population residing in the UK and hence, Zampa would receive excellent response there," said Vallee de Vin director Neeraj Deorah. The firm is also seeking opportunities to promote Zampa wine in Dubai, which according to the firm can generate excellent revenues.
"Dubai is an emerging market for wines. We expect good esponse to Indian wines in this international business centre. We plan to export our product to Dubai over next six months," Deorah added.
The firm owns a vineyard in Nashik while it also draws grapes on contract farming basis from local famrers. After Mumbai and Delhi, Vallee de Vin on Sunday launched Zampa in Pune. The firm plans a national roll out of its products in Goa, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Rajasthan over next six months.
"We have set a target of 1,25,000 litres sales during first 12 months. Although, there is a talk of recession in liquor market, wine segment is growing at a good pace," he added. Vallee de Vin has invest Rs 15 cr to set up its vineyard.
It seels three varieties of wine namely white, red and rose'. All its products are priced between Rs 600 and Rs 650 per bottle. "We have tied up with distributors and hotels to promote our products," he added.
