Subhash Chandra-led Zee Entertainment Enterprises today said its net profit for the third quarter ended December 31 declined by 25.99 per cent to Rs 84 crore.
The company had a net profit of Rs 113.5 crore for the same quarter, Zee Entertainment Enterprises said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Operating revenues of the company rose to Rs 545.6 crore for the quarter under review, against Rs 518.2 crore for the same quarter last fiscal.
"The entertainment and media industry is also seeing the impact of the overall downturn in the global economy," Zee Chairman Subash Chandra said.
Shares of the company settled at Rs 110.05, down 9.35 per cent on the BSE.
