Zee Learn posts Q2 net of Rs 7.6 cr

Zee Learn posted a profit after tax of Rs 7.6 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016 showing more than seven times growth compared to the profits posted in the same quarter last financial year. The education company had a net profit of Rs 1.07 crore in Q2 of last financial year. Total income from operations grew to Rs 33.55 crore in Q2 from Rs 30.69 crore on a year-on-year basis.

On the backdrop of its performance, the company declared its first ever interim dividend of 5 per cent for its equity shareholders. The company in a statement said that their net profit for the first half of the financial year (H1), which stood at Rs 15.6 crore exceeded the net profit for the full FY16.

Debshankar Mukhopadhyay, CEO, Zee Learn said that their strategy to focus on our strengths has resulted in delivering the profits which are multiple times more than the profits delivered during the last financial year.
