The completely advertisement-supported platform will be available, along with the over-the-top service Ditto. Viewers will be able to access Zee's archival content on OZEE.

Both Ditto and OZEE will be operated under Zee Digital Convergence Limited (ZDCL), the digital arm of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, or Zeel.
Much like its peer Star India's online platform hotstar, OZEE will have the entire library of ZEE Network's content - fiction, non-fiction, movies, music and other videos - in Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali and Kannada.
As it would be completely supported by advertisements, the service would be free for viewers.
The OZEE website has been launched already; the app will go online by next week. The service will be available on all devices except Windows Mobile.
Some of OZEE's key features include a superior interactive video-viewing experience, even on low bandwidth connections across devices, and timely notifications.
Punit Goenka, the managing and chief executive officer of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, said, "In India, entertainment is life. People are finding it easy to cut away from appointment viewing and are able to watch their chosen entertainment anytime and anywhere. This has only driven consumer expectations higher."
He added: "The video on demand platform has become the need of the hour and we are excited to bring to our viewers this whole new level of entertainment. OZEE will offer a user-friendly platform and the comfort of watching your favourite ZEE show and movie at your convenience.
"OZEE will make content available within minutes of its television telecast. With this offering, we hope to conquer the hearts of our viewers as much as we have been doing with our other products."
The platform is helmed by Karan Jaitapkar, business head, OZEE. "While Ditto remains content agnostic and features content from other broadcasters as well, OZEE will have content from Zee and will be free. The features are different as well. We are focussing on the click and play feature rather than downloads. OZEE is an extension of the Zee brand. The vast content we have helped get advertisers on board," he said.
Procter & Gamble and Hindustan Unilever would be among the prospective advertisers on the platform. OZEE uses adaptive-streaming technology that allows viewers to continue watching content even when internet speeds fluctuate. This is being used by majority of over-the-top and video-on-demand services these days.
