Software services firm Zensar today said it has partnered with Internet search giant Google to provide the latter's enterprise solutions suite 'Google Apps' in Asia Pacific (APAC) region to retail and manufacturing firms.
"Today, more than four million businesses across the globe are using Google Apps to drive innovation, increase productivity and collaboration and reduce IT expenditure," Google APIA Managing Director Doug Farber told reporters here.
Already 1.5 lakh businesses in India are using Google Apps and with Zensar coming on board as a customer and also becoming a reseller, this number will only grow, he added.
Google Apps is a web-based suite of applications that include Gmail, Google calendar and integrated chat along with Google Docs, Google sites and Google's word processing, spread sheet, presentation and website creation tools.
Zensar would also adopt Google Apps internally on a company-wide basis.
"These applications will help Zensar associates to collaborate on web-based documents in real time. Additionally, using Google Apps marketplace and Google AppsEngine, Zensar will be able to access third party application and build their own customised applications for external and internal use on top of Google platform," Zensar Vice Chairman and CEO Ganesh Natarajan said.
Google has similar partnerships in India with TCS, Wipro and Cognizant.
