Zydus Wellness Q2 Net up 10.2% to Rs 32 crore

Zydus Wellness Ltd, the personal care arm of Cadila Healthcare, posted a 10.2 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) rise in its net profit to Rs 32.1 crore for the second quarter of the current financial year, while its total income from operations grew by 7.5 per cent on a y-o-y basis.

The company's total income from operations during the quarter stood at Rs 112.4 crore, and according to the company statement it achieved an overall consolidated growth of 7.6 per cent in sales. With this performance, the revenue grew by 10 per cent and net profit grew by 14.2 per cent, for the first six months of FY17.

The gross margins increased by 140 basis points and reached 66.8 per cent.

Sugar Free, India's largest selling sugar substitute, maintained its number one position with a market share of 93.9 per cent (MAT September 16 report of Nielsen), up by 70 basis points.
