Despite 28 of 69 properties of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) running in loss, the state government has no plans to lease them out to the private sector.
In a written reply to a question in the state Assembly here on Thursday, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said HPTDC runs 59 hotels and 10 restaurants in the state. "Of the 69 HPTDC properties, 21 hotels and 7 restaurants are undergoing loss," Singh said.
