Raju Hirani’s cult movies, such as 'Three Idiots' and 'Munna Bhai', are known for carrying social messages and have also won accolades from critics as well as viewers. Hirani's recent venture, PK, questions an individual's interpretation of religion and sends out a message on social harmony.
Clearly, the people behind the hash-tag trend did not get the message and took to the micro-blogging site to vent their anger.
Just when the ‘haters’ captured the stage on social media, the fans of the movie began tweeting in support of the movie with the hash-tag, #WeSupportPK. The war on web between the two groups has been going on since morning.
Meanwhile, the box-office collection of movie has already crossed Rs 50 crore in the opening weekend itself and it is still attracting a lot many movie buffs.
