Air India official urges employees to support 'Swachh Bharat' campaign

The carrier says a 'Swachhta Shapath' or cleanliness pledge will be administered to all employees on Oct 2

Responding to a call for a ‘Swachh Bharat’ given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, officials and staff at the Air India today stepped out for a cleanliness drive.

Senior officials of the public carrier came along to lend a support to the campaign.

Earlier, the CMD of the airline Shri Rohit Nandan in a message to the employees of Air India said, “The Prime Minister has desired that a nationwide campaign be organised with the participation of all sections of society to bring about mass awareness and a lasting behavioural change to achieve this goal. I therefore, urge you to participate whole heatedly in this campaign by word of mouth and action to spread the message for a ‘Swachh Bharat’ to all.”

While the campaign for a ‘Swachh Bharat’ began today, a 'Swachhta Shapath' or cleanliness pledge will be administered on 2nd October 2014 to all employees of Air India across the country.
