To clear the stranded aircraft at Chennai Airport, Airports Authority of India is going to start limited operations from Chennai Airport during the day.
AAI is working on war footing for restoration of affected infrastructure and navigational facilities at Chennai Airport and making efforts to resume limited operations during day time and in visual meteorological conditions, according to a released statement.
It may be noted Chennai Airport was shut for the last three days due to rain, which has created water stagnation at the Airport. All the flights are either cancelled or diverted to Bengalaru or Hyderabad.
