The AP Secretariat Seemandhra Forum, whose members were on strike for nearly 40 days in protest against the proposed bifurcation, had withdrawn its stir following an agreement with the state government on Friday.
Under the agreement, the state government would facilitate a delegation of the forum to meet the President and Prime Minister to convey their apprehensions, sentiments and feelings over the division.
The government had also agreed to grant a special advance of one month salary and consider the forum's request for giving adequate representation to the employees in the committees, if any, constituted by the Union or state governments in connection with the bifurcation issue.
On Thursday, power sector employees and teachers withdrew their strike following talks with chief minister, N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
