The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to make it difficult for the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) in the upcoming budget session as the main opposition party has decided to question the union government on why two solicitor generals have resigned from the past in the 18 months.

Senior BJP leaders are also planning to corner the government on the statement of home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde blaming BJP and RSS for training saffron terrorists. Some of the senior leaders of the BJP are of the view that the party should boycott Shinde in the house and he should not be allowed to speak in the Parliament till the time Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Shinde don’t apologise for the statements.

“We are going to ask the union government why Rohinton Nariman resigned from his office. This is the second time when a solicitor general has resigned. It is possible that Rohinton Nariman was annoyed about an issue and he resigned like any self-respecting person. Rohinton Nariman should have made a public statement to tell why he was resigning,” said Murli Manohar Joshi, senior BJP leader.

Joshi further said that there was a deliberate design by the Congress party to attack BJP and RSS members and the statements of Shinde were an insult to all people of the country and the national flag which also has saffron colour.

“Sushil Kumar Shinde made the statement at the chintan shivir of the Congress party. We want to know what is the game plan of Congress party. One of the options before BJP is to not allow the home minister to speak in the Parliament, we are considering this idea but a final decision will be taken before the start of the budget session,” Joshi added.

Joshi further said that union government was blaming Pragya Thakur and others for Samjhauta express blast whereas the committee on sanctions of the United Nations Security Council had said in June 2009 that Arif Qasmani, the chief coordinator of LeT, had funded the Samjhauta blast with the AI Qaeda. Joshi also said that the US Treasury Department had also said in July 2009 terrorists of AI Qaeda were involved in the blast.
