BSNL cautions people against fraud job offers

Company said certain individuals and agencies were contacting job aspirants promising false employment in BSNL

State-run telecom company BSNL today said it neither appoints any agent nor asks for any kind of money deposit for job or interviews from job seekers, while cautioning people to be wary of offers made by unscruplous persons.
 
BSNL said it observed that certain individuals and agencies are contacting job aspirants promising false employment in BSNL either directly through press advertisements or indirectly through agencies.
 
"These agencies or individuals are reported to have been seeking personal information and/or money in order to process the application," the company said.

BSNL also pointed out to a particular misleading advertisement in a newspaper for jobs in the company and disassociated itself with any such notice.
 
"Through this Fraud Alert, we wish to caution all job seekers applying to BSNL that an advertisement seeking applications for employment in BSNL reported to have been published in the a newspaper dated 26.8.2013. Such advertisement have neither been issued nor published by BSNL or on its behalf," the statement said.
 
The company said that it neither appoints any agent nor asks for any kind of money deposit for job or interviews from job seekers.
 
BSNL has asked people to inform vigilance wing of the company about any suspicious communication made to them through e-mails or phone calls.
