Chhattisgarh eyes more godowns for storing rice

Chhattisgarh Government is stressing for constructing more godowns across the state for stocking rice.The state government will place the demand before the Union Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Ramvilas Paswan, who is coming here on Tuesday. State's food minister Punnulal Mohile will have a detailed discussion with the union minister on the issue.

Officials in the department said that the state government would demand constructing big godowns with a capacity of 1.5 million tonnes. The Centre would fund the project under its schemes for constructing godowns in the state, they added.The rice millers in the state had also demanded constructing more godowns.
