The state governments are now showing interest to follow the same.
“I am glad to announce here that Chhattisgarh government has agreed to set up the group,” PMG Chairman Anil Swarup said here Friday evening. Earlier, he held the meeting of the group with the state officials to review the progress of the pending projects in the state. Later, he interacted with the industrialists under the banner of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
“Now, we have the sophisticated version of the software,” Swarup said, adding that he had offered the state government to take the software and use it in the state for setting up its own project monitoring group to review and expedite the pending projects.
Five states have already taken decision to set up similar project monitoring group in the state, he said. While Bihar and Rajasthan have set up the group, three states including Maharashtra, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh have taken the final decision for setting up the group, Swarup added.
The Maharashtra and Gujarat governments would be soon sending technical teams to take the software. The Chhattisgarh government could send its team probably next week, Swarup hinted.
