Chhattisgarh government has decided to launch the e-Stamping system in the state that would replace the use of physical stamps. In the first phase of introducing the system, the computerisation work in the stamp and registration department was completed. "In the second phase, the stamp papers would now be replaced with the e-stamping," a government spokesperson said adding that the state cabinet Tuesday gave nod to the proposal.
A few other states in the country had however succeeded the state in introducing the e-stamping system that is now convenient for anyone to pay stamp duty online without going through the hassles of obtaining a stamp paper or franking a document.
