Cold wave conditions on Sunday eased in Punjab and Haryana with minimum temperature going up by few notches above normal at several places in both states.
However, dense fog continued to affect normal life at various places in Punjab and Haryana.
The Union Territory of Chandigarh had a low of 8.1 deg C, up by two degrees above normal, MeT department said here today. Among other areas of Haryana, Ambala and Hisar braved cold weather at 9 deg C and 8.4 deg C, up by a degree respectively.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded low of 6.6 deg C, up by two notches above normal. Ludhiana and Patiala recorded minimum at 10 deg C each, up by 3 notches above normal.
MeT officials forecast that weather will remain dry though dense fog would occur during night and morning at several places in Punjab and Haryana.
