Congress leaders from Telangana vow to develop the state

A number of Congress leaders from newly formed Telangana arrived in Hyderabad today after camping in national capital

With the Telangana Bill having been passed in Parliament, Congress leaders from the region vowed to develop the new state as a model in the country here today.

A number of Congress leaders from the newly formed Telangana state, who arrived in Hyderabad today after camping in the national capital for the passage of the Telangana bill, held a meeting to thank Congress president Sonia Gandhi and celebrate the occasion.

"We must provide good governance in Telangana. We must ensure development, welfare programme and social justice in Telangana," K Jana Reddy, Panchayat Raj Minister in the outgoing N Kiran Kumar Reddy government, said.

He stressed that the Congress should put up a stellar performance in the coming elections. Other ministers J Geeta Reddy, D K Aruna, several party MPs and other leaders took part in the event.
