Coronavirus live updates: India reported on Friday 62,480 new Covid-19 infections and 1,587 deaths over the past 24 hours, according to the health ministry.
The country’s total case load stands at 29,762,793 and fatalities at 383,490. Daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 36th day straight. The daily test positivity rate--positive cases identified for every 100 tests - continues to decline. It stood at 3.24 per cent - below 5 per cent for the eleventh straight day.
