In his complaint filed today, K P Ramakrishnan, a business man, said that the cricket players, Sreesanth, Ankit Chavan and Ajit Chandila have criminally breached the trust of the cricket fans and besides cheating, they have gained wrongfully and caused a wrongful loss to the cricket fans and paid spectators to those leagues.
"Therefore, the cricketers of Rajasthan Royals, Sreesanth, Ankit Chavan and Ajit Chandila have committed the offences under Section 420 and 406 of IPC as they have caused a grave wrongful loss to me as a cricket fan and paid spectator to the Indian Premier League Matches," says the complaint.
While mentioning about the loss made by the said players for the cricket fans, the complaint added, "I strongly suspect that without the hand in glove with the office bearers of the cricket board, they should have not committed these utter untrustworthy criminal breach of trust and cheating."
The complaint requested the Commissioner to register a criminal case against the said cricket players and prosecute them in accordance with law in order to secure the ends of Justice.
R Krishnamurthy, advocate for the complainant said that as a paid spectator for the IPL matches, his party has the right to sue the cricketers and would wait for the police to take action.
