With a single-day jump of 74,893 in the number of cured cases, recoveries in the country reached 5,016,520, or 82.58 per cent all infections reported so far.

- With 74893 new daily recoveries, India’s recovery rate has improved to 82.58; the fatality rate has come down to 1.57%.

- India’s 5-day moving average of daily rate of addition to total cases stands at 1.5%.
- India’s doubling time for total cases stands at 50.9 days, for active cases at 106.6 days, and for deaths at 63.4 days.
- The states that have seen their respective biggest single-day spikes in total cases are Kerala (7445), and Rajasthan (2,084).
- Overall, five states with the biggest 24-hour jump in total cases are Maharashtra (18056), Karnataka (9543), Kerala (7445), Andhra Pradesh (6923), and Tamil Nadu (5791).
- Among states with more than 25,000 cases, the five with worst recovery rates at present are Kerala (67.24%), Chhattisgarh (68.96%), J&K (73.22%), Uttarakhand (75.83%), and Maharashtra (76.91%).
- India on Sunday conducted 709,394 coronavirus tests, and had a test positivity rate of 11.6%.
- Five states with the highest test positivity rate (TPR) – percentage of tested people turning out to be positive for Covid-19 infection (by cumulative data for tests and cases) – are Maharashtra (20.4%), Chandigarh (15.53%), Puducherry (14.98%), Goa (12.8%), and Karnataka (12.55%).
- Five states with the highest TPR by daily numbers for tests and cases added – are Goa (26.89%), Chhattisgarh (18.82%), Sikkim (15.9%), Nagaland (14.26%), and Kerala (13.87%).
- Among states and UTs with more than 10 million population, five that have carried out the highest number of tests (per million population) are Delhi (147610), J&K (118406), Andhra Pradesh (107240), Tamil Nadu (93806), and Assam (90978).
- The five most affected states by total cases are Maharashtra (1339232), Andhra Pradesh (675674), Tamil Nadu (580808), Karnataka (575566), and Uttar Pradesh (387085).
- Maharashtra, the most affected state overall, has reported a net addition of 18,056 cases. The state has added 193392 cases in the past 10 days.
- Andhra Pradesh, the second-most-affected state by total cases, has added 50,160 cases in the past seven days alone. On Monday it added 6923 cases.
- Tamil Nadu, which has seen its tally going up by 5,791, has added more than 5,000 cases on each of the past 68 days.
- Karnataka has reported 9543 cases, to take its tally to 575566.
- Delhi has added 3292 cases to take its tally to 271114.
