In the wake of reports of their alleged refusal to admit dengue patients, the Delhi government today summoned administrators of all private hospitals and nursing homes in the city.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain will hold a meeting with them this evening.
"Jain has summoned administrators of all private hospitals and nursing homes of Delhi for a meeting in view of the reports of their refusal to admit dengue patients," a senior Delhi government official said.
The summons come in the backdrop of another boy succumbing to dengue with his family claiming negligence by hospitals in the city.
On September 8, 7-year-old Avinash Rout had died due to the vector-borne disease after allegedly being turned away by five hospitals. His parents committed suicide that same night by jumping off the terrace of their fourth floor residence.
