ED files fresh application against 11 NSEL defaulters, Jignesh Shah

Last month, ED had issued summons against all 68 accused including Shah, who remains in judicial custody

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a fresh application in the Sessions Court against 11 defaulter accused and Jignesh Shah, the promoter of Financial Technologies (India) Ltd (FTIL) in the Rs 5,600-crore payment default at FTIL subsidiary National Spot Exchange Ltd (NSEL).

Last month, ED had issued summons against all 68 accused including Shah in the NSEL case. Later Shah was arrested on July 13 and sent to judicial custody after keeping in ED custody for five days. Shah continues to remain under judicial custody.

Meanwhile, NSEL investors filed an intervention application which was allowed by the court. The court is set to hear the case tomorrow.
