Rationalist and writer K S Bhagwan on Thursday said he was not at all worried or concerned by a fresh threat to his life, but rather elated by it, as it has caught the public's attention, and also his views on issues of the day are receiving the kind of publicity he would want them to get.
Bhagwan told ANI a day after receiving the threat to his life, "I don't feel frightened at all. In fact, I feel elated that the work I have done, has caught the attention of the public."
Referring specifically to the contents of the threat letter, he said, "They said my days are numbered. The letter is with the inspector now."
K S Bhagwan, a writer, has been receiving threat messages on social media after writer M M Kalburgi's murder in Dharwad last month. The latest threat was received through an anonymous postal letter.
"A type-written letter, received at Bhagwan's Kuvempunagar residence on Wednesday, warned him of being the next target and tells him to be alert. The letter also says that the police will not be able to protect him," said a police official.
The letter, bearing the postal department's seal, has been posted from Bengaluru.
