Finance Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley on Monday said Lohiaites and Communists were attending the Congress-organised international symposium on the occasion of Jawaharlal Nehru's 125th birth anniversary, though both Ram Manohar Lohia and Communist leaders like E M S Namboodiripad had rejected Nehru's politics during his lifetime.
Jaitley also said the Congress was "stunned" by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's popularity abroad, which has unnerved party leaders like Salman Khurshid to make the "fascinating claim" that the PM, when travelling abroad, takes people from India to slogan shout for him.
