A thick blanket of fog enveloped the national capital Monday, affecting train and flight operations. The Met office has forecast a cloudy day ahead.
The visibility dropped below 50 metres, said an official of the Met Department.
However, the minimum temperature was recorded two notches above the season's average at 9 degrees Celsius.

With dense fog engulfing the city, people had to switch on their vehicles's fog lights.

The day's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 20 degrees Celsius.
Humidity at 8:30 a.m. was 100%.
