Congress today accused the BJP-led Gujarat government of failing to properly handle the flood situation in the state due to recent heavy rains, and said there was no administration in the state during the crisis.
Leader of Opposition Shankarsinh Vaghela today handed over a memorandum to the Governor in this regard.
"In this hour of crisis people of the state are feeling that their is no administration in the state as the Chief Minister (Narendra Modi) is busy touring other states for (election) campaigning," the memorandum said.
No relief camps had been set up for those shifted from the flood-hit areas, he alleged.
More than 50,000 people were evacuated yesterday and around 10,000 people today from the low-lying areas.
