The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) (Link: http://www.ibps.in) has invited eligible candidates (CWE-V) for the posts of officers (scale I, II & III) and office assistants (multipurpose) in participating Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). Aspirants can start applying and the last date submitting the online applications is September 30, 2016.
IBPS is looking at filling up about 16,560 vacancies for the post of assistants and officers (scale I, II and III) in 56 participating RRBs.
Candidates can fill the IBPS RRB 2016 application form online. No other mode of application form filling will be accepted.
Eligibility criteria and vacancies
Interested candidates should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university as on September 30, 2016, and must be proficient in local language of the state where RRB is located. It is important that the candidate has cleared the local language, aka the official language the state as mentioned in the notification, at standard eight or above.
If interested in scale I officer vacancies, candidate should be above 18 and below 30 years, scale II officer post aspirants should be above 21 and below 32 years, scale III officer above 21 and below 40 year, and office assistant between 18 and 28 years as on September 1, 2016. The age relaxation for OBC category is three year and for SC/ST candidate is five years.

2. Officer (scale I) – 5539
3. General banking officer (scale II) – 1533
4. Agriculture officer (scale II) – 152
5. Marketing officer (scale II) – 75
6. Treasury manager (scale II) – 19
7. Law officer (scale II) – 55
8. Chartered accountant (scale II) – 35
9. IT officer (scale II) – 130
10. Officer (scale III) - 198
The application fee for the post of officer (scale I, II and III) for SC/ST/PWD candidates and office assistant (multipurpose) is Rs 100and for all others is Rs 600.
Selection procedure
For assistant and officer’s posts in scale I, selection IBPS RRB 2016 will be conducted in two stages preliminary and mains. There will be a single online exam for the scale-II and scale-III vacancies, and qualified candidates will be called for interview.
According to the official release, the conducting body will hold the online preliminary test for the posts of officer – scale I on November 5 and 6, 2016 and for office assistant (multipurpose) on November 12, 13 and 19, 2016. The main examination for officers – scale I, II and III will be conducted on December 11, 2016, and for office assistant on December 18, 2016.
Registration process
Candidates have to register and apply online, and no other/offline mode of application will be considered valid. They need to have a valid email id and mobile phone number for receiving information.

2. Apply for registration using a valid email id and phone number
3. Check for the successful registration mail
4. Using the registration number and password in the mail, login on the website
5. Click on the link IBPS CWE RRBs V 2016 recruitment
6. Choose the appropriate posting - office assistant, officer scale I or officer scale II and III - to apply online
7. Complete the registration form
8. Check again before submitting the application
9. Upload scanned copies of photograph (size: 4.5cm x 3.5cm) and signature
10. Make sure that the signature is not in capital letters otherwise it will not be considered valid
11. Make the application payment through debit or credit card, net banking, IMPS, cash cards or mobile wallets
12. Be sure to add bank charges to the payment
13. Download the e-receipt upon successful payment of the fee.
14. After completing the procedure, generate a printout of the system generated on-line application form for future reference
15. Preserve the soft copy and hard copy (printout) of the application
Candidates should receive an email as well as an SMS confirmation on the registered email address and mobile number on successful submission of the form. If not, then that means that there is some problem with the form and it has not been successfully registered. In case of doubt about the successful registration, candidates should visit the page for re-print of application.
Appointment
The final selection will be based on candidate’s performance in the exam and common interview. IBPS 2016 scores are valid for 1 year. Depending on the scores and RRB preferences, IBPS will automatically allot a candidate to a bank. Candidates applying for officers (scale I, II and III) vacancies need not attend interviews for each & every regional bank in their state. By February 2017, all qualified candidates would get final allotments in any of their preferred regional rural banks.
