India Inc was represented by Godrej Industries Chairman Adi Godrej, Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani and Videocon group Chairman Venugopal Dhoot at the swearing-in ceremony of the new chief minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis. Invitations were also sent to former chairman of Tata group, Ratan Tata, and RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani.
The Confederation of Indian Industry said the industry expects Maharashtra to undergo a transformational change with the new BJP government and the CM speeding up the implementation of development initiatives. High up on the wish list of the industry are reforms pertaining to investments, infrastructure development, land acquisition and strengthening the manufacturing sector.
