The only two Indian journalists stationed in Pakistan have been told to leave the country by May 20, a media report said Thursday.

Snehesh Alex Philip of The Press Trust of India (PTI) and Meena Menon of The Hindu newspaper were told to leave the country by May 20, Dawn online reported.

"Both of them were told to leave the country by May 20 as their visas would not be renewed," the report quoted an unnamed caller as telling both the journalists Tuesday.

Letters were delivered later.

Both the journalists had arrived in Pakistan Aug 17, 2013, and were granted a three-month visa. After it expired in November, it was renewed up to March 10, 2014, in January 2014.

Menon and Philip refused to speak about the matter, according to the report.
