The Indian Staffing Federation (ISF), an apex body of flexi-staffing industry, has been designated the premier partner to bring formal jobs for youth through the soon-to-be-launched National Career Counselling portal.
The ISF members, chosen to be part of the federation, have been given ‘direct and exclusive access’ to the portal, according to a statement from ISF today.
ISF members are driving efforts to bring jobs across levels onto the portal through this initiative and reaching to the larger sections of the society. Currently, ISF members employ 500,000 workers annually.

An initiative by Ministry of Labour and Employment under the National Career Service (NCS) project, ISF has been supporting the initiative as a partner from the inception stage via inputs, flow decks and jobs data from the last one year.
Under this initiative, the ministry will transform all government-run employment exchanges and put them under a national web portal.
This will act as a one-stop platform for both job seekers and job providers through online registrations. In the first phase, the government has planned to modernise and transform 100 of the 982 employment exchanges in India.
Rituparna Chakraborty, President, ISF, said, “ISF is proud to be associated with this noble initiative and contribute towards creating and bringing formal jobs to the forefront through our members. The portal with abilities to transform the way India Inc hires is likely to be the most sought after for both job seekers and employers. Skill development, improved formal employability and productivity will together pave the way forward for India's inclusive growth.”
