Sreekumar, who had taken the Modi government head-on over 2002 riots and fake encounter issue, today filed a complaint in the Patiala court in New Delhi against BJP's prime ministerial candidate, BJP president Rajnath Singh, its spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi and former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan accusing them of launching a malicious campaign against him by raking up the two-decade- old ISRO spy case before the 2014 general elections.
Talking about the complaint Sreekumar said, "The matter will come up for hearing on November 21."
According to Sreekumar's complaint, Modi had met Narayanan in Kerala and hatched conspiracy to 'harm' and 'tarnish' his reputation.
"The accused persons (Modi, Singh, Lekhi and Nambi) have committed an offence under under section 500 Part II, 501 Part II and section 120-B of Indian Penal Code by making a false statement to harm the reputation of the complainant (Sreekumar)," Sreekumar complain read. He further sought, "That the complaint under section 190 of Code of Criminal Procedures for an offence under section 500 Part II and 501 Part II and Section 120B of Indian Penal Code be entertained and the accused be, tried and punished in accordance with law."
The ex-police officer who was heading the intelligence wing in the state in 2002, has also filed nine affidavits in Gujarat riots cases.
