The delegation included representatives from Panasonic, Hitachi, Daiwa, and Mitsubishi Research Institute, a release said.
The intent of their visit was to witness the existing infrastructure at Sri City and explore the possibility of setting up electronic industries. The visit comes at a time, Chennai is loosing its glory of being the largest electronic cooridor, after the closure of Nokia facility at Sriperumbudur. SriCity is located on the borders of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Ravindra Sannareddy, managing director, Sri City commented that consequent to the visit of N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of A P, to Japan, the leading industries of that country are showing keen interest in investing in AP, and are deputing their representatives to visit the state and assess the business potential and investment opportunities.
