Bollywood today applauded the Government for the execution of 26/11 Pakistani attacker Ajmal Kasab, saying it is a triumph of justice.

"Kasab's execution is a victory not only for the Mumbaiker who suffered at the hands of terror, but the entire nation. I applaud the Govt and especially Sushil Kumar Shindeji and home ministry for such a controlled execution of Kasab," tweeted filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar.

For actor Anupam Kher, it's a triumph of justice. "Justice may not replace the feeling of loss but it gives strength and hope to continue life with renewed belief in system we live in. Kasab."

Veteran actor Om Puri said, "He is being punished for what he did. This decision was taken only after studying and investigating the motive behind his act."

Actor Abhishek Bachchan feels that late ASI Tukaram Omble should be honoured because of his conspicuous bravery in fighting the terrorists at Girgaum Chowpatty.

"Man who should be honoured today: the one who captured Kasab: Asst Sub Inspector Tukaram Omble," posted Abhishek.

Ram Gopal Varma, who is making a film on the 26/11 terror attacks, said, "Here's wishing that finally his victims' souls will rest in peace RIP and Kasab's soul will roast in hell. Most Indians would have preferred to have seen Kasab being lynched and tortured to death instead of being just hung. If I were to be the hang man I would have shown the pictures of all his victims to Kasab before hanging him."

Actress Raveena Tandon said, "So Kasab finally hangs! BIH!! Congratulations India! After mourning BalaSaheb.. I think this was the good news."

"Kasab hanging - congratulations Govt of India - for doing it so effectively. For once the govt broke the news and not the news channels," tweeted Riteish Deshmukh.

"Finally... May you rot in hell with your brethren... Kasab," tweeted Shreyas Talpade.
