KCR asks officials to demolish illegal constructions

Advises the officials to take help of police, if necessary, in this regard

Telangana chief minister, K Chandrasekhara Rao, has directed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation officials to deal firmly and demolish constructions that were built without permission in the city. He also advised the officials to take the help of police, if necessary, in this regard.

According to an official press release on Monday, the chief minister said that "it doesn't require any advance notice to initiate action" for demolition of unauthorised constructions.

In the case of constructions that have permission but were built with deviation, they may be served with notice before initiating action.

The chief minister was also stated to have indicated that action would be initiated to protect Gurukul Trust lands in the city.

He wanted all these lands to be restored back to the government.
