Chief minister Oommen Chandy will formally inaugurate the mart at the LeMeridian Convention Centre, Kochi. Union minister of state for tourism Sripat Yasho Naik will be chief guest and Kerala tourism minister AP Anil Kumar will preside over the function.

The Mart itself will be on for three days from September 18-20, at the Samudrika Convention Centre, Cochin Port Trust, Willingdon Island, Kochi.

"Our promotional efforts this year extend to Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube and live Twitter feeds and Tweet mirror are being used to attract buyers," said Kumar.

"KTM 2014 is undoubtedly a great platform for B2B networking. We expect to host around 8,000 B2B meetings this time. Our preparatory activities have been very successful. Although registrations closed on July 15 for the buyers, we are still getting more and more enquiries every day," he stated. MICE tourism, wedding destinations and the charm of villages will be among the key themes of this edition.
